How do I get started?
The first thing you need to do is to create an account.Creating an account is simple and straight forward and you should be up and running in minutes.

Do I need an account to order a transcription?
Yes, note creating an account doesn't cost you anything, however, in our quest to provide you with the best service at the cheapest price we need you to create an account for accounting, support and order tracking purposes.

What web browsers do you support?
The QualTrendz website has been thoroughly tested with modern versions of Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari on both PCs and Macs.

Is my information secure?
The entire QualTrendz website is 128-bit SSL encrypted. Your audio, video and text files are securely stored and never shared with anyone other than the transcribers working on your files.

What kind of audio and video files can you transcribe?
We currently support the following digital audio and video file extensions: Audio: acc, aif, aiff, amr, ape, au, cda, gsm, flac, m4a, mid, mp3, mpga, ogg, raw, shn, sri, vox, wav, and wma. Video: 3g2, 3gp, avi, flv, m4v, mov, mp4, mpeg, mpg, video, and wmv. If you have a digital file in a format not listed here, please let us know.

How do I order a transcription?
Create an account, upload files from your computer or share a link of the file on the web, select how you would like to pay: via credit card or pay later via invoice. We will get started on your order immediately and when your job finished you will get an email alert. At this point you simply download your file from your secure account on the QualTrendz website.

Do real people actually transcribe my audio and video?
Absolutely! No technology solution is as accurate as human transcribers. We exclusively use human transcribers and every file is quality checked before it is delivered to our clients.

Can you handle large projects?
Absolutely!! We have a team of over 45 full-time transcribers and we are constantly adding more as we grow to ensure we are able to meet quality and on-time delivery standards that set us apart from the rest.

Is there a real, live person I can talk to?

What happens if I'm not happy with my transcriptions?
We pride ourselves on our quality and accuracy, if for any reason you are not happy with the transcription please contact us and we will work with you to ensure your satisfaction.


What kind of audio and video files can I upload?
We currently support uploading, by file or URL, the following extensions:
Audio: acc, aif, aiff, amr, ape, au, cda, gsm, flac, m4a, mid, mp3, mpga, ogg, raw, shn, sri, vox, wav, and wma.
Video: 3g2, 3gp, avi, flv, m4v, mov, mp4, mpeg, mpg, video, and wmv.
If you have a digital file in a format not listed here, please let us know. We are adding more and more file formats all the time.

What languages do you support for transcription?
We currently only transcribe audio and video files that are in English. If you'd like the resulting transcription in a language other than English, we would need you to take the English file we send you and put in a translation order for us to translate the file in the language of your choice.

How do I know you'll keep my files confidential?
Our current list of customers includes medical and insurance companies where confidentiality is a must. Through the years we have developed tools and techniques to ensure the highest-level of confidentiality possible. Some of our customers require us to sign an NDA if that is the case please contact us and we would be happy to do so.

Can I upload files directly from my computer?
You sure can. Any audio or video file that is in a format we support can be directly uploaded from your computer.

Can I upload files from the Web?
Of course. We support uploading any URL with a direct link to an audio or video file in a format that we support. Or give us the URL to your video or audio file (please ensure required permissions are granted to allow us access to the files).

Can you handle large projects?
Absolutely!! We have a team of over 45 full-time transcribers and we are constantly adding more as we grow to ensure we are able to meet quality and on-time delivery standards that set us apart from the rest.

Can I upload multiple files at the same time?
Yes you can. We have spent a lot of time making uploading files as quick and as easy as possible. You can upload multiple files directly from your computer or you can upload multiple files directly from URLs as well. For files that are part of the same job we suggest you upload all related files to the same job folder on your dashboard for easier file management and tracking.

Can I track the progress of the transcriptions I request?
After you request a transcription you can track your request through your dashboard page on our site. The dashboard tracks every job from start to finish and you will know if your request is being worked on, when the transcription goes into the review stage, and you will get an email alert as soon as it's done.


When will my transcription be done?
We deliver all transcription jobs within 48 hours if not sooner. If you are anticipating to place a larger order please contact us at the earliest so we can ensure we have resources on standby to work on your large order.

Can I get my transcriptions time stamped?
Yes you can. If you need your transcriptions time stamped, make sure you select that option when you place your order. Time stamping is done on request at an additional $0.25 per minute of audio or video.

What web browsers do you support?
Are the speakers tracked in the transcript?
If there is more than one speaker we will indicate this in the transcription. If you have names of the speakers please indicate the names when placing the order and their seating positions so we can indicate who is speaking when transcribing.


How much does this all really cost?
We charge a flat $0.75 rate per minute of audio or video to be transcribed.

Why are your prices lower than other transcription services?
Process, process and process!! We have taken transcription services and created a streamlined process and coupled with low overhead we are able to provide you with the best value.

What payment options are available?
We currently accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover). For individuals or companies that prefer or require an invoice before payment can be made, we also allow "Pay by Invoice."


Who actually transcribes my audio or video?
Our team of 45 plus full-time transcribers plus our registered freelancers do the transcriptions. All of our transcribers are trained, tested and certified by us before they ever work on an actual client file. All transcribers are assigned a transcriber rating score that is adjusted on an ongoing basis. In addition, all transcribers sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure the confidentiality of your files. Also every job is quality tested before it is delivered to the client to ensure you are getting the most accurate transcription possible.

How do you ensure the quality of your transcriptions??
As a company we pride ourselves on the quality of the work we do.We know along with timely delivery and price quality is key to retaining you as our client and hence we put significant resources behind ensuring the quality of each and every order we deliver.
First of all, all of our transcribers are trained, tested and certified by us before they ever work on an actual client file. All transcribers are assigned a transcriber rating score that is adjusted on an ongoing basis. The higher their score the more transcription jobs available to them, and if they go below a certain threshold they are either retrained and certified or their services are terminated. Hence, our transcribers take their scores very seriously. And finally, no transcription is ever done until it has been completely reviewed by Quality assurance team. Having two sets of eyes on every file is a step we deem necessary to ensure the highest quality possible.

How accurate are you?
We're 99% accurate, i.e. unless you are requesting a "verbatim" transcription (we won't necessarily note every "um," "ah," stutter, and false start). The resulting transcription will be as accurate as humanly possible given the quality of the original recording.

What format are the transcriptions returned in?
Your transcriptions will be available as MS Word Documents.

How are my transcriptions delivered to me?
When your transcriptions are finished we will alert you via email. Your transcriptions will be available on the QualTrendz website once you sign in to your secure account.
